Do I understand the cynic is now in favor of government regulation of speech?

A tech company is responsible to its shareholders and, the board of directors and officers of that corporation have to make decisions which they believe are in the best interest s of their shareholders.
If they believe that it is in the best financial interest of their shareholders to you have terms of service and then enforce those terms of service I don’t understand why that should invite government intervention?

If enough shareholders thought that the terms of service should be changed then, they should elect a new board of directors who would engage corporate officers to change the terms of service

It’s not unlike a public corporation making a donation to a food bank or a hospital… If the shareholders disagree then, the shareholders could elect a new Board of Directors…

    What does the cynic think?

    • I do not think government should regulate speech. I do think corporations should have the right to define terms of service and enforce them. The problem here is they are applying this differently for conservatives and progressives. They could do that too, but the government should then eliminate their liability exemption, just like newspapers.
